Developing Multicultural Understanding
Research Paper
A sub-committee of the Developing Multicultural Understanding (DMU) Program Team is working on a research paper.
Purpose: To 1) identify promising practices related to youth development programming with diverse audiences and
2) demonstrate how those promising practices could be aligned with effective programming across Wisconsin.
Process:
Educators offering youth development programs with diverse audiences are being identified through a variety of methods, including educators volunteering information themselves. Educators will be asked to do two things:
1) Respond to questions on the Educator Interview Survey
2) Engage a program partner in responding to questions on the Program Partner Interview Survey (when possible and appropriate).
We ask that educator and program partner responses be returned to Jean Berger, Marathon County UW-Extension, 212 River Drive, Suite 3, Wausau, WI 54403-5476, by February 15, 2011.
Based on the responses to the two survey tools, follow-up interviews may be conducted. Educators will be contacted directly if this is needed.
